​Welcome to the website of The Underground Artist. Robert Schreckenbach is a 35 year old artist based out of the Chattanooga, TN area. Robert is currently attending Chattanooga State Community College getting his degree in Graphic Design. Robert has always enjoyed creating art. Ever since he was younger his mother would bring home seasonal greeting cards from friends and co-works for him to draw. Robert would draw these pictures that he was giving, but at the same time, he would add a little of his own flare and personality to the picture.

        As time passed throughout the years Robert continued to draw, but only as a hobby. Until in 2012 when Robert was at his local libraray checking out some art books, when the librarian offered Robert a chance to have some of his artwork on display for a month. Well, of course he jumped at this chance and begin drawing pictures and painting a few to put on display. Within a week, Robert had produced 30 drawings and paintings to go on display, a lot of work by anyones standards.

        Now with his artwork on display several people begin to notice his work and they begin to purchase pieces of art. Within a few days the local paper had heard about this new local artist and wanted to do an articl on him. In Feb. of 2012 the local paper put Robert and his artwork on the front page of the Jasper Jurnal and The Hustler. At the time Robert was using his art as a way to promote local companies by hand designing flyers for promotional needs and local concert shows. 

        Now as Robert (The Underground Artist) moves forward in his artistic career. He has found his nitch in the world growing around him. Robert longs for the day that his art is located in major buildings throughout the local towns and within the walls of grand buildings in New York, San Fransico, and so on. He is a devoted family man and artist. What he does in his artwork reflects what he is in his family, Robert said, 'A man without his family is a man without his soul', and 'Art is the motivation behind my eye's, it's my dreams, it's my very breath. I long for artistic expresstion everyday of my life'.
